introduction

God in Ezek 36:26 says about a new heart that is soft, tender, submissive to the Holy Spirit.

this heart is tender that we often feel hurt by the words spoken by brothers and sisters. firstly, this heart is given not so that you will feel hurt in that way. but rather, it is given so that He can write His words of life on it.

the Breastplate of God

firstly, the breastplate of righteousness in Eph 6 and in 1 thess 5, it is called the breastplate of love and faith.

the breastplate protects the tender heart. this is so that when afflictions come, our heart is still kept safe and soft for God.

the effects of a afflicted heart

at times, when we feel hurt, saddness hang on our faces, our mood is affected and that we may even choke the desire to serve God.

it may even result in the withdrawal of fellowship, being judgmental and eventually it becomes harden. a hard heart doesnt respond to God (heb 3, Rom 9).

God, being wise, know what words of men may do to your heart, hence made an armor so that it can be kept tender for His purpose.

the armor is for the weak

people may say it is the hearer that is weak, hence, they are affected easily by the words of men. that is not a problem, for it is God who has given them a new tender heart. tell the ones who are having problems handling the words of men to put on the armor!

the weaker we are, the better it is. the armor is not for the strong, it is for the weak (2 Cor 13:4 – this verse is a must-read).

the hearers do not have a problem. they just need the armor of God – the breastplate of righteousness, faith and love.

introduction

i got this revelation when one day i was looking at myself as a Christian…

then i saw sin, shame, weakness, lameness and stupidity

then i remembered what the world used to tell me:

  1. i was sensitive. i heard the world says that is not good.
  2. i was conscious. i heard the world says that it is not good.
  3. i was hardworking. the world says that what is it for?

even back then as a non-Christian, i was rather depressed that i am nothing good.

i thought, “i am a good-for-nothing.

so depressed. i threw myself into depression.

i was thinking about ending my life. what’s so good about it?

what thing is good? nothing.

the Revelation

then came a time i became a Christian. the problem does come and go.

till one day, the Lord tell me:

  • “put whatever you have, good or bad on Me. I will make it beautiful.”
  • ” you will then stand back and see. you shall be a witness to the most beautiful thing u can ever imagine.”

then one may ask, “sin leh?”

two choices to dealing with sin:

1) you bear the guilt of it.

2) you put it on the LAMB of God on the cross.

(1) is too heavy for anyone. so heavy that only death can pay it (wages of sin is death).

death as in including 2nd death, which can be read in book of Revelation chapter 20 verse 14.

(2) is a comfort for anyone. it ‘s a way chosen by God too. 

realise that the smell of your sin being burnt on the sacrifice is so pleasing to God and it blesses your soul too – you found forgiveness and your soul is guilty no more!

got aroma from the sacrifice means got forgiveness, for it shows that God has already accepted the sacrifice.

what about me being too sensitive?

sensitivity placed on the Lord will become sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

you will be aware of His voice, His presence.

the movement of the Holy Spirit, you can sense!

but sensitivity on the flesh becomes ugly.

for e.g: in r/s when a guy/girl is too sensitive in the flesh and cause thoughts that aroused by the sinful nature like, ‘eh, he is seeing another girl/guy.‘ to take root in the heart. sooner or later, unpleasant things will happen.

what about being too conscious of others/myself?

conscience placed on the Lord will transform into being conscious of the work of the Son, being conscious of who you are in Christ.

knowing who you are in Christ is a big deal.

reason:

Romans 3:22
This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,

righteousness from God is only found in Christ.

hence, when you know you are in Christ, you will realise that ‘hey, i am His righteousness!’

and this is confirmed by the following verse:

2 Corinthians 5:21
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

it is only in HIM that we are the righteousness. well, if that is so, keep to that! continue to be in Him! every blessings go to the righteous! Amen!

Proverbs 10:6
Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.

 

summary

  1. everything placed on yourself, i.e: making yourself as the base, is simply ugly.
  2. everything on Christ is beautiful.

now you understand why God says, “Christ in you. Christ in you.“?

the truth that Christ is in you means that you are on Him.

you are beautiful only by THAT WAY and so, stay it that way! AMen!

what do u think God is using Elijah to tell us?

firstly, God called him to move from Gilgal to Bethel, then from Bethel to Jericho, then from Jericho to Jordan and then he got fetched up into heaven.

Gilgal in hebrew:
Gilgalghil-gawl’
the same as ‘gilgal’ (1536) (with the article as a properly, noun); Gilgal, the name of three places in Palestine:–Gilgal. See also ‘Beyth hag-Gllgal’ (1019).

‘gilgal’ (1536) :
gilgalghil-gawl’
a variation of ‘galgal’ (1534):–wheel.

‘galgal’ (1534):
galgalgal-gal’
by reduplication from ‘galal’ (1556); a wheel; by analogy, a whirlwind; also dust (as whirled):–heaven, rolling thing, wheel.

‘galal’ (1556):
galalgaw-lal’
a primitive root; to roll (literally or figuratively):–commit, remove, roll (away, down, together), run down, seek occasion, trust, wallow.

it all speak to me that Gilgal can be a wheel or whirlwind, that can be rolled away to somewhere.

God used Gilgal in Joshua chapter 5:9 to show that He has rolled away the reproach of Egypt.

i see the reproach of Egypt as a wheel or whirlwind being rolled away by God from the children of Israel. this wheel or whirlwind, in this context, referred to something bad.

gilgal can be used in the context of something bad being rolled away.

from Gilgal to Bethel.

Bethel is the House of God.
so, from Gilgal to Bethel is telling me this: to roll away the sin of someone so that he/she can transcend from the world into the heavenly Bethel spiritually.

Jericho in hebrew:
Yriychowyer-ee-kho’
or Yrechow {yer-ay-kho’}; or variation (1 Kings 16:34) Yriychoh {yer-ee-kho’}; perhaps from ‘yareach’ (3394); its month; or else from ‘ruwach’ (7306); fragrant; Jericho or Jerecho, a place in Palestine:–Jericho.

Jericho means fragrant. something must be present to make someone fragrant.

Matthew 26:7 – a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.

hence we know that the oil (Holy Spirit) is the Provider of that fragrance.

hence, from Gilgal to Bethel to Jericho, it is telling me this:

to have your sins rolled away and to enter into the Kindgom of God, u need the Holy Spirit.

hence, Jesus said this that: no one can enter the kingdom of God/Heaven unless he is born again!

then what about Jordan?
Jordan in hebrew:

from ‘yarad’ (3381); a descender; Jarden, the principal river of Palestine:–Jordan.

now, who is the Descender? who descended from Heaven to Earth to show the way?

Ephesians 4:9 – (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?

from Gilgal to Bethel, to Jericho and to Jordan.

to have your sins being rolled away so as to enter the kingdom of God, u need the Holy Spirit which will be poured out by the One who will descend.

Elijah smote the water and make it apart.

2 Kings 2:
7 Fifty men of the company of the prophets went and stood at a distance, facing the place where Elijah and Elisha had stopped at the Jordan. 8 Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground.

the word struck in Hebrew:

a primitive root; to strike (lightly or severely, literally or figuratively):–beat, cast forth, clap, give (wounds), X go forward, X indeed, kill, make (slaughter), murderer, punish, slaughter, slay(-er, -ing), smite(-r, -ing), strike, be stricken, (give) stripes, X surely, wound.

the summary

what more is there to say?
from Gilgal to Bethel, to Jericho and to Jordan (which was struck).

to have your sins being rolled away so as to enter the kingdom of God, u need the Holy Spirit which will be poured out by the One who will descend and He will be struck, punished, wounded, strickened.

Elijah is used by God Almighty, our Father in Heaven, to show even, to Elisha or whosoever is reading that, that JESUS is the WAY to the kingdom of heaven…..

background of the Holy Communion by Jesus Christ:

Luke 22:20

In the same way, after the supper he (Jesus) took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Jesus literally referred the wine as His blood.

1 Corinthians 10:16

Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?

1 Corinthians 11:24-26

24and when he (Jesus) had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

the Revelation

  • on your hands are two things, broken bread and a cup of blood.
  •  the broken bread shows this: a vessel was broken.
  • the cup shows this: a new vessel was CREATED to contain the blood shed from the broken vessel.
  • in God’s eyes, we are the new cup/creation. the ONLY creation that contains the blood of Christ inside us.
  • in man’s eyes, you can say this: we share the same blood as Jesus, hence He is our Brother and God our Father. we have the same blood flowing inside us.
  • it is a family thing.

the cup is filled is that you may see how God will not hold back Himself from pouring into you His blood.

in fact in the book of Leviticles, the pouring of the blood of the offering shows us what God wants us to see:

  1. Leviticus 4:7The priest shall then put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense that is before the LORD in the Tent of Meeting. The rest of the bull’s blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
  2. Leviticus 4:18He is to put some of the blood on the horns of the altar that is before the LORD in the Tent of Meeting. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
  3. Leviticus 4:25Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
  4. Leviticus 4:30Then the priest is to take some of the blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.

in fact, in that book alone, there are many instances that say about the blood being poured out at the base of the altar.

why at the base of the altar (cross)?

  • this is because earlier on we said that a vessel was broken that the NEW one may be filled. we are at the foot of the cross spiritually when we confessed that He is Savior.
  • the truth is this: we are not just filled till the brim with His blood.
  • the blood of the Lamb of God overflows till it covers us. the book of leviticles never say how much the blood is.
  • God wants us to have an idea of never-ceasing amount such that those who are filled by him with His blood, will run over with it.

in Psalm 23 (verse 5: You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows), the Lord said that He prepared for us a table and Psalmist David says my cup runs over.

note that he said oil and finish that sentence with my cup overflows! 

oil means anointing also! Anointing comes with the blood! got blood, got anointing!

in Cor 10:14-22, the cup is said to be taken from the Lord’s table.

see, from the previous text, we know that David even described himself as a cup. so do Paul when he said he is like a drink offering, being poured out.
2 Timothy 4:6For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure.

Paul understood the pouring out of drink – it means departure
Jesus also wants us to know – the New cup that you are holding means that the Original Vessel has departed to be with the Father bodily.

this is also why Paul said:

1 Corinthians 11:26

For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

Summary

moreover, David said that surely Goodness and mercy will hunt him down.

this is after he said my cup runs over.

when you BECOME A NEW CREATION, MERCY AND GOODNESS CONFIRM WILL HUNT YOU DOWN.

who ask you to be covered by the blood of the lamb? i’m sorry that you got no choice but to be hunted down by goodness and mercy.
